At bottopdf, we take your privacy more seriously than anything else. Our entire architecture is built around the principle of Zero-Persistence. This policy explains what data we collect and, more importantly, what we don't.
1. No Content Storage
When you upload a file (like a WhatsApp chat or a series of images) for conversion, we process that file in a temporary, isolated memory buffer.
- No permanent storage: Once the conversion is complete and you download the file (or the session expires), the data is wiped from our processing units.
- No reading: Our automated conversion engine processes your data without any human or algorithmic "reading" of the content. We do not index your messages or photos.
2. Data We Collect
To provide our service, we collect minimal information:
- Account Info: If you create an account, we store your email address and name to manage your subscription.
- Usage Metadata: We track the *number* of conversions per account to manage plan quotas. We do not track *what* was converted.
- Payment Info: All payments are handled by our secure partner (Paddle). We never see or store your credit card details.
3. Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and minimal, privacy-focused analytics to understand how many people visit our site. We do not use invasive tracking pixels or sell your browsing data to third parties.
4. Your Rights
Since we don't store your documents, you are always in control. You have the right to:
- Request deletion of your account.
- Access the metadata we have on your account usage.
- Be confident that your private conversations stay private.
5. Security Measures
All data transfers to and from our servers are encrypted via SSL/TLS (HTTPS). Our processing environment is isolated and regularly audited for security vulnerabilities.
